HISTORY 
 
The Tahoe Adventure Film Festival recognizes one athlete or filmmaker every year with our Golden Camalot Award.
The "camalot" is a caming devise made by Black Diamond Equipment and is used to protect climbers. The camalot has saved countless lives in the mountains around the world. The Golden Camalot is awarded with the highest respect to leaders in action and adventure sports for excellence, achievement, and leadership. The award is hand crafted completely with 18 caret gold, weighs almost 4 pounds, and is delivered the night of the festival by Brinks Security guards.The award is blessed by the Pope and the Dali Lama.
